Change
Change is not always easy, but change is necessary. The Spirit of the living God lives in us, and He enables us to change. Now, as we have the desire through faith, we can do all things, because God wants us to succeed in every area of our life. He wants to be the Master in your life. Will you allow Him to take complete control over every area of your life, surrendering all to Him? If you have committed, then you will indeed be Daniel Strong.

The Daniel Plan
Hello and welcome to the Daniel Plane. I pray you make the most of this study. It is designed on five essentials: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus, and Friends. It
is 40 Days to a HEALTHIER LIFE using those five essentials.
Faith is the foundation of the Daniel Plan. Select a scripture each week and try to
memorize that scripture to help you stay focus on God and His Word. Read God’s
Word and Pray. Meditate on your memory verse, claim His Word and live His Word.
We are entering our fourth week of the Daniel Plan and I
pray you are using all the tools necessary to meet your goals. Read each
chapter with enthusiasm; let the word sink deeply in your spirit. Use the study
guide for inspiration knowing that all change starts with acceptance. Keep a
journal. When you write words on paper,
they become real to you, and they can encourage you to continue what you have
started. Call a friend to join you on this journey or join a group. A group will hold you accountable and will
help you when you reach a weak point. Remember “We are better together.”
Please join us on Sunday morning at 9:45 for the next
session on “FOUCS” in the Daniel Plan. We want to hear your testimonies, your
new menus, and how your view food when you shop at your local market.

Is anything mastering you?
Paul states in 1 Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything." NASB
In reading A Hunger for God I had to ask my self what is mastering me? A self examination should be done often and I have forced myself to ask some tough questions about my walk with Christ. What is really important to me in this life? Am I allowing desires for other things to choke the word and keep me from growing closer to Him? Please share your thoughts on what masters you.

When should you fast?
Piper's book "A Hunger For God" explores the Christian Fast and explains fasting from a historical prospective. He states that Fasting is a universal religious practice and is often use as a political weapon and for dietary reasons. But why must Christians fast?
Christ, being first in all things, fasted for 40 days in the wilderness before He began His ministry. Christ prepared himself for the work ahead. So when should we fast?

A Hunger For GOD - Corporate Fast
Corporate Fasting: The author explains the true essence of a corporate fast, he said, "If your heart is right and you're open to The Lord and you're asking him, Lord, draw me into the spirt of awakening through fasting,' he will show you. He'll show you when and how." (Page 16) So if you are wondering should I fast, or when should I fast, seek the Lord in prayer.

A Hunger for God by John Piper
This book was selected by the Discipleship Ministry and approved by First Lady Norma McLauchlin in support of the Women Conference and Women Month.
The author topic is on understanding Christian fasting and having a hunger for God.
When you read Matthew 9:14-17 you may have many questions about fasting. I did, but Mr. Piper book enriched my knowledge on Christian fasting. As we explore together, let us pray that we will allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into understanding what God has placed before us.
Let us began to explore the WORD OF GOD and share with one another what God is sharing with us.

A Hunger for God
And Jesus said to them, “The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Day 9
Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." But you are a shield around me, O LORD . . . From the LORD comes deliverance. (Psalm 3:2-3, 8)
